Solid and Liquid Biofuel

Biofuel is an efficient way or producing electricity to meet the energy requirements. There are many raw materials used in biofuels to produce electricity. There are solid as well as liquid fuels available to use in the bio-fuels.

Liquid Biofuel

Biodiesel and bioalcohol are the liquid forms used in the biofuels to produce electricity. The liquid biofuels are used to run cars. There is no emission of harmful gases with liquid biofuels like bio-alcohol into the air which can cause global warming and destruction in ozone layer. Biodiesel and ethanol are the great options for liquid biofuels. These biofuels are produced by transforming oils and fats into biodiesel and sodium hydroxide and ethanol or methanol is mixed in it. This fuel can be used to run automobiles like cars and trucks. The liquid biofuels are normally taken from the plant sources.

Solid Biofuels

Wood chips, sawdust and grass clipping are some solids which can be used as an alternative energy sources in which mass of substance is compressed. Pellet form is the result when these materials are compressed which can burn for heat. There can be emission of pollutants and toxin gases into the air by these solid forms. But still these solids are great way to meet the energy requirements.

The main purpose of these biofuels is to reduce the impact of energy on environment. The liquid biofuels can be good option as it is environment friendly and cost efficient as well.
